Harley-Davidson of Rocklin’s opening marks the return of the iconic motorcycle dealer to south Placer County after a nearly nine-year absence.

“This is Harley country,” dealership principal Matt Guidera said. “As a family business, we wanted to return and help the community enjoy some of the best rides in the nation on the best motorcycles in the world.”


Vanelli Brands

Vanelli LogoVannelli Brands, LLC., maker of fine ravioli, shaped pastas, and other packaged pasta products is putting the finishing touches on their food manufacturing operation, which recently relocated to the City of Rocklin.

You soon will be able to purchase the products at grocery stores locally, including Nugget and Safeway. The brand had products in stores from 2006 to 2013 and company President Chuck Eaton says chain managers have been eager to restock.


Mezcalito Oaxacan Cuisine

Mezcalito Oaxacan Cuisine staff have been hard at work over the past few months preparing to open the new restaurant at 5065 Pacific St. In late November, finishing touches were being made to the interior and exterior of the space, which will feature indoor and patio dining.


Pink Martini Bar and Bistro

The owners of House of Oliver Wine Bar in Roseville have opened a restaurant in Rocklin!  Pink Martini Bar and Bistro, located at 6692 Lonetree Boulevard in the Blue Oaks Town Center, is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week, featuring brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. and daily happy hour from 3 to 6 p.m. They also have late night happy hour.


Quick Quack Car Wash

The upcoming winter months promise to add a layer of dirt to vehicles but next spring Rocklin residents can look forward to a fast and easy option to clean their cars.

A new Quick Quack Carwash is currently under construction near America’s Tire and Umpqua Bank on Stanford Ranch Road. The location will include a drive-through wash facility, eight vacuum bays, and other associated facilities.


Daycation Senior Center

“It takes a village,” is a popular phrase used to refer to the community cooperation needed to successfully raise a child. The phrase can also apply to caring for members of the elderly population, specifically those who struggle with physical or mental challenges.


Kathrin’s Biergarten

“Beer is Culture” to the family proprietors of the new Kathrin’s Biergarten and they hope to share that culture with the Rocklin community.

Immigrants from Germany, the family writes that America has captured their hearts and that they are happy to raise a toast to the friendship.


Prospect Snow and Wake

Neil Henderson’s business card proudly proclaims him the “Head of Shred” at Rocklin’s newest ski and board factory, Prospect Snow and Wake. For the past eight years, Henderson has been producing snow and wake equipment in Madison, Wisconsin, but earlier this year he made the decision to pick up his life and move to the Sacramento region.


Rocklin Station Commercial Project

Rocklin Station, a major commercial project to be anchored by a 6,600-squre-foot Cracker Barrel restaurant and a 10,224-square-foot Les Schwab Tires store, was approved by the Rocklin Planning Commission in August.

The 6.64 acre site at the southwest corner of Sierra College Boulevard, the I-80 off-ramp, and Crossings Drive (across from the Crossings shopping center) is also slated for tenants including Habit Burger, Chick-fil-A, Del Taco, and three additional retail/restaurant spaces.


32 Degrees Ice Shavery and Tea

This summer’s record temperatures are lingering into September but Rocklin’s ”Ice Shavery” can help you get to the freezing point. Offering smooth and creamy shaved snow, traditional shaved ice and a variety of sweet drink options including boba and milk teas, this trendy shop has something for everyone.

Aqua Life Aquarium

Walking into the new Aqua Life Aquarium at 4505 Granite Drive takes you into a water world of fresh and salt water fish, marine coral, and live plants.

The company has been in business more than 22 years and recently relocated to expand space and offerings. The new shop can meet all of your aquarium needs, including tank installs and maintenance, with a fleet of service vehicles ready to pay you an on-site visit.


Kabab Hut

A popular Bay Area chef has brought his Pakistani and Indian cuisine to Rocklin with the new Kabab Hut.

While the owner is used to packed houses at his previous four restaurants, his local business is still catching on so be sure try it soon! Kabab Hut is located at 6661 Standford Ranch Road, in the same shopping center as Floor and Decor. 


Sushi Kakogan

Sushi lovers in Rocklin have a new option at 4820 Granite Drive Suite C across the street from the Safeway shopping center.

The menu offers options for the sushi novice, with non-raw food like bento boxes available, to the seasoned sashimi veteran. Sushi Kakgon only recently arrived in Rocklin but the business wants to become part of the local family and encourages you to stop by anytime!


Little Lash Lounge

The Little Lash Lounge motto is “We are the beauty specialists you need.” This new business specializes in ”classic” and “volume” eyelash services,  and also offers microblading, makeup services, waxing, hydrofacials, peels and more!

The Brass Tap

Rocklin’s craft brew scene added a few more handles behind the bar in May with the opening of the The Brass Tap in the Rocklin Commons shopping center.

This upscale, Florida-based beer bar is the first of the franchise to open in the Sacramento area and offers more than 48 beers on tap and approximately 80 different bottled beers! The owners plan to feature mainly local beers on tap, including Placer-based Knee Deep and Rocklin’s Out of Bounds Brewing.


Adams Pro Shop

Bowling a few frames and need equipment to support your game? If you’re playing at AMF lanes, stop in to the region’s newest full service bowling shop owned and operated by Steve Adams.


KoJa Kitchen

KoJa Kitchen at 4210 Rocklin Road is open for businesses serving a menu featuring a fusion of Korean and Japanese flavors.

The signature KoJa Sandwich substitutes traditional wheat buns with freshly-made crispy garlic rice buns. 

Other menu items include rice bowls, KoJa’s take on tacos, and Kamikaze Fries loaded with beef, kimchi, Japanese mayo, red sauce, and green onions.


Sourdough and Co.

The sandwich shop Sourdough & Co. has plans to move into space next to Starbucks at 4877 Granite Drive.

The Rocklin location will add to the chain’s expanding presence in south Placer County, with existing stores in Roseville, Lincoln and Auburn.

Sourdough & Co. offers signature sandwiches, fresh salads and clam chowder, served daily.


Wally’s Cafe

A popular Emeryville Mediterranean restaurant featured on Yelp’s Top 100 Places to Eat in America in 2016 is coming to Rocklin.

While the bay area edition of the cafe has been described as a ‘hole in the wall” and a “back alley neighborhood secret spot,” the Rocklin edition at 2110 Sunset Blvd will have a more traditional locale. 

Items on the Emeryville menu include kabobs, gyros, falafel and much more. Ownership plans to open the Rocklin location this spring.


Tropical Smoothie Cafe

The Crossings shopping center continues to add new businesses to their tenant list, with Tropical Smoothie Cafe now open at 5130 Commons Drive, Suite 12.

Tropical Smoothie Cafe offers smoothies, gourmet wraps, specialty sandwiches and salads. Multiple smoothie and food options are available at under 500 calories, including vegetarian and gluten free offerings.
