Titans of CNC

Titans of CNC LogoIn the world of aerospace and robotics, there is no room for error. That’s why customers like SpaceX founder Elon Musk and tech-giant Jeff Bezos have turned to Rocklin-based Titans of CNC to machine parts for their state-of-the-art spacecraft. Just don’t ask to see the parts Titan is making for these projects, the designs are highly classified intellectual property. 

CNC stands for computer numerical control, which allows a machine to be programmed and monitored to mill metals into parts with minute specifications. Titans of CNC not only makes parts, but offers an online CNC academy that serves more than 28,000 students and 1,500 teachers. CNC machining is a skill not easily found or taught, and founder and owner Titan Gilroy’s new focus is on sharing his knowledge and skills with people across the country to help close the manufacturing skills gap.

Moksa Brewing Co.

The Moksa Brewing Company officially opened for business on Saturday, February 3, to the excitement of Rocklin residents and the surrounding community.

Moksa is located on the corner of Sunset and Pacific St. at 5860 Pacific St., and offers a 3,000-square-foot tap room in the building previously occupied by Dragas Brewing.

Vanelli Brands

Vanelli LogoVannelli Brands, LLC., maker of fine ravioli, shaped pastas, and other packaged pasta products is putting the finishing touches on their food manufacturing operation, which recently relocated to the City of Rocklin.

You soon will be able to purchase the products at grocery stores locally, including Nugget and Safeway. The brand had products in stores from 2006 to 2013 and company President Chuck Eaton says chain managers have been eager to restock.

Mezcalito Oaxacan Cuisine staff have been hard at work over the past few months preparing to open the new restaurant at 5065 Pacific St. In late November, finishing touches were being made to the interior and exterior of the space, which will feature indoor and patio dining.

Pink Martini Bar and Bistro

The owners of House of Oliver Wine Bar in Roseville have opened a restaurant in Rocklin!  Pink Martini Bar and Bistro, located at 6692 Lonetree Boulevard in the Blue Oaks Town Center, is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week, featuring brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. and daily happy hour from 3 to 6 p.m. They also have late night happy hour.

Quick Quack Car Wash

The upcoming winter months promise to add a layer of dirt to vehicles but next spring Rocklin residents can look forward to a fast and easy option to clean their cars.

A new Quick Quack Carwash is currently under construction near America’s Tire and Umpqua Bank on Stanford Ranch Road. The location will include a drive-through wash facility, eight vacuum bays, and other associated facilities.

Neil Henderson’s business card proudly proclaims him the “Head of Shred” at Rocklin’s newest ski and board factory, Prospect Snow and Wake. For the past eight years, Henderson has been producing snow and wake equipment in Madison, Wisconsin, but earlier this year he made the decision to pick up his life and move to the Sacramento region.

Rocklin Station Commercial Project

Rocklin Station, a major commercial project to be anchored by a 6,600-squre-foot Cracker Barrel restaurant and a 10,224-square-foot Les Schwab Tires store, was approved by the Rocklin Planning Commission in August.

The 6.64 acre site at the southwest corner of Sierra College Boulevard, the I-80 off-ramp, and Crossings Drive (across from the Crossings shopping center) is also slated for tenants including Habit Burger, Chick-fil-A, Del Taco, and three additional retail/restaurant spaces.

The Brass Tap

Rocklin’s craft brew scene added a few more handles behind the bar in May with the opening of the The Brass Tap in the Rocklin Commons shopping center.

This upscale, Florida-based beer bar is the first of the franchise to open in the Sacramento area and offers more than 48 beers on tap and approximately 80 different bottled beers! The owners plan to feature mainly local beers on tap, including Placer-based Knee Deep and Rocklin’s Out of Bounds Brewing.

KoJa Kitchen at 4210 Rocklin Road is open for businesses serving a menu featuring a fusion of Korean and Japanese flavors.
