Classes and Programs

The City of Rocklin Parks and Recreation Department offers a variety of community classes and programs, such as Active Adults activities, Itty Bitty Club, Guitar Lessons, French Class and Sports Programs.

Cycling Class Photo

Cycling Skills Club

Children will learn proper cycling skills for lifelong safety. There will be fun and games, competition, and positive reinforcement for confidence. International level of education from former Tour de France professional cyclist provided. for ages 5-12

Cyclists will meet at parking lot next to the tennis courts at Johnson Springview Park at the start of each session.

Art- Drawing, Painting, and Multimedia

Tap into your creative side. Join artist Mara Raubitschek for an ongoing drawing and painting class. Learn basic color and composition while designing your own creations. Try out a variety of materials and discover how to make them work for you through guided lessons and experimentation.

Ballet Classes

Have a child interested in Ballet? We have a variety of classes ranging from ages 18 months to over 8 years old! More info here.

French Classes

Lessons will be delivered entirely in French, using the latest foreign languages teaching methodologies. Students will learn about the francophone culture and various celebrations throughout the year. Number of students limited to 12 per class to ensure a productive learning environment. An assistant will help the teacher if the number of children exceeds 8.

Explore your own experiences of racism or prejudice in a supportive non-confrontational environment. Unlearn out of date stereotypes that still affect our words and behavior so that we can all share the richness of the diversity in our community.

A series of nine weekly meetings to learn about and to discuss racism and racial bias. Designed to provide information on multiple topics related to race relations and to offer a safe place to share personal experiences regarding racism.
