Sourdough and Co.

The sandwich shop Sourdough & Co. has plans to move into space next to Starbucks at 4877 Granite Drive.

The Rocklin location will add to the chain’s expanding presence in south Placer County, with existing stores in Roseville, Lincoln and Auburn.

Sourdough & Co. offers signature sandwiches, fresh salads and clam chowder, served daily.

Wally’s Cafe

A popular Emeryville Mediterranean restaurant featured on Yelp’s Top 100 Places to Eat in America in 2016 is coming to Rocklin.

While the bay area edition of the cafe has been described as a ‘hole in the wall” and a “back alley neighborhood secret spot,” the Rocklin edition at 2110 Sunset Blvd will have a more traditional locale. 

Items on the Emeryville menu include kabobs, gyros, falafel and much more. Ownership plans to open the Rocklin location this spring.

Tropical Smoothie Cafe

The Crossings shopping center continues to add new businesses to their tenant list, with Tropical Smoothie Cafe now open at 5130 Commons Drive, Suite 12.

Tropical Smoothie Cafe offers smoothies, gourmet wraps, specialty sandwiches and salads. Multiple smoothie and food options are available at under 500 calories, including vegetarian and gluten free offerings.

Yummy Poke

Looking for a healthy bite to eat before or after visiting Blue Oaks Theaters in Rocklin? Stop by one of the latest editions to Rocklin’s casual dining scene Yummy Poke, located in Suite 300 in the shopping center at 6696 Lonetree Blvd. 

Poke (pronounced Poh-Kay) originated in Hawaii and means “to section, slice or cut.” which explains Yummy Poke’s freshly diced cubed fish, mixed in a free-form salad with your favorite sauces and locally grown produce.

Royal Siam

The new “Modern Thai Cuisine” restaurant Royal Siam opened its doors in December 2016 at the Blue Oaks Marketplace at 6815 Lonetree Boulevard, Suite 105.  

Owner and Chef Wasuma (Nee) Johnson is from Khonburi, Thailand and perfected her personal cooking style over the past 25 years by drawing on a wide range of cultural culinary influences. She says her food is focused on four Thai flavors: sweet, sour, salty and spicy.

UFC Gym

The UFC Gym opened a new location on December 8 in Rocklin located at 6684 Lonetree Boulevard. The 10,000-square-foot facility offers fitness and martial arts classes for adults and youth including boxing and kickboxing conditioning, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and mixed martial arts.

UFC bantamweight contender and former WEC featherweight champion Urijah Faber partnered with fitness veteran Mark Polli and Mark Mastrov, New Evolution Ventures co-founder and part of the ownership group of the Sacramento Kings, on the location.

The Junction Games is located at 2221 Sunset Boulevard, Suite #121 and sells card games like Pokémon, in addition to board games, role playing games, and miniature table top games like Warhammer 40,000.
