Get Started with eTRAKiT
The City of Rocklin has launched a new online permitting system, eTRAKiT, to make applying for permits faster and easier.
Already have an account? Login to eTRAKiT and start your application.
Need to Know
For both Public Users and Contractors:
- You need an email address to create an account.
- You need an account to apply for a permit.
- You must complete the City of Rocklin Permit Application and Project Contact Form before starting.
How to Create an Account
There are two account types: Public and Contractor.
For Contractors
- Complete the eTRAKiT Contractor Registration Form and email it to: Building@Rocklin.ca.us
- Once received, your contractor account will be set up.
- Note: eTRAKiT accounts from other jurisdictions will not work in Rocklin. You must create a new account with the City of Rocklin.
- Ensure you have a valid City of Rocklin Business License: https://rocklin.hdlgov.com/
For Public Users
You need a Public Account if you are:
- A Resident (Owner Builder)
- A Business Owner
- Note: Commercial projects must be issued to a licensed contractor.
- A Design Professional
- A Permit Runner
To set up your account:
- Go to eTRAKiT
- Click Setup an Account in the upper left of your screen
How to Apply for a Permit
- Log into your eTRAKiT account
- Select Apply for permit
- Select the Permit Request permit type in the dropdown
Important Note
Once your permit request has been received and reviewed by the Permit Center, and is deemed complete, you will be notified of:
- Your permit number
- The required deposit to proceed with routing for a plan check.
