Business and Neighborhood Services coordinates, monitors, and implements all activities associated with economic development as identified in the City’s adopted Economic Development Strategy which accomplishes the following:
- Creates an economic vision to identify and acknowledge our strengths and weaknesses
- Outlines sustainable strategies for growing our economy
- Identifies target industries and strategic investment locations to ensure a positive return on investment to our community
- Builds partnerships for sustainable economic development
This office works to keep Rocklin livable, by acting on two overarching approaches to economic vitalization – strengthening what we already have and pursuing what we need to achieve a strong, diversified local economy.

The Rocklin Adventures at Quarry Park project is intended to provide family entertainment for both tourists and local residents with a mix of rock climbing and adventure related offerings augmented by quality food service and small retail store. The project has the potential to be a catalyst for commerce and development in Rocklin’s Quarry District, attracting customers to local businesses and generating tax revenues that could be used to sustain vital services and quality of life in the City.
The City of Rocklin Municipal Code was established to help maintain a standard in the community for all to enjoy, and is enforced by Rocklin’s Code Compliance Officer.
The Code Enforcement Program is a citizen-based program that inspects and investigates complaints from citizens of the City of Rocklin. Upon receipt of a complaint, a Code Enforcement Officer will conduct a site visit to investigate the reported violation. After confirmation of the violation, the Code Enforcement Officer will take necessary steps to gain compliance with City Codes.
