Commission Requirements

General eligibility requirements: Rocklin residency and registered voter. Other requirements may apply to specific boards, commissions, and committees. 

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age (unless Youth Commissioner – see requirements noted above), live within City limits, a registered voter, and willing to serve until a successor is appointed. City staff will serve in an advisory role to the boards, commissions, and committees. All boards, commissions, and committees serve in an advisory capacity to the City Council and administrative officials. Compensation, if any, is established by resolution of the City Council.

All appointees are required to complete a two-hour ethics training program upon appointment and, then, every other year.

Hard copies of the Board, Commission, and Committee Application are available from the City Clerk at 3970 Rocklin Road, Rocklin, California, or printable online. All applications must be submitted to the Clerk’s office by 5 p.m. on May 20, 2024, either in person or emailed to CityClerk@rocklin.ca.us

This rule requires the disclosure of a variety of sources of income for public officials.

Offers of appointment may be conditional upon successful completion of fingerprint clearance.
