The City of Rocklin is currently planning for the use of fiscal year FY 2024-2025 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program funds.  The City has yet to be notified of its FY FY 2024-2025 award, however, it expects to receive an amount roughly equal to the FY 2023/2024 award of $284,000.  Only 15% of these funds (approximately $42,750) can be used for Services. The City of Rocklin is required to prepare an Annual Action Plan which provides information on the needs of low-and moderate-income residents and eligible target areas of the City during the period between July 1, 2024 and June 30, 2025.  The Plan also describes the activities that the City will undertake to meet those needs with the limited funding.  Should the actual award amount differ from the current estimate, the City will make proportional adjustments to all areas of allocation.

The City of Rocklin receives funding from the U.S Department of Housing and Urban Development in the form of Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) each year.  The funds are used, in part, to assist residents with securing decent housing, benefit the elderly, and expand economic opportunities for those of low and moderate incomes.

Draft FY 2024-2025 Annual Action Plan Public Notice

The City will accept public comment on the draft Action Plan until 4:00 p.m. February 4, 2024.  The draft Plan is available on the City website and during normal business hours (M-F between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. at City Hall (3970 Rocklin Road – First Floor Front Counter).

The City Council is scheduled to hold a Public Hearing during its regularly scheduled meeting on March 12, 2024 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Rocklin City Hall (3970 Rocklin Road) to solicit public comments on the draft Annual Action Plan.

The City will submit the Action Plan to HUD for review and approval on or before May 15, 2024.
