Beginning Monday, July 6, a portion of the trail at Sunset Whitney Recreation Area will temporarily close as construction begins on the City’s new pickleball court complex.

The closure area will be fenced off for public safety, and posted detour signs will guide trail users around the construction zone. A trail closure map is available below to help visitors plan their route.

Construction is anticipated to last approximately two months, although the schedule may change depending on construction progress.

The temporary closure is necessary to safely complete this exciting recreational improvement, which will provide additional opportunities for residents to stay active and enjoy Rocklin’s parks.
