Land Development Engineer Lynn Toth is helping to keep Rocklin growing during the coronavirus pandemic.

“I oversee the review and approval of the design of private development Engineering Improvement plans through the construction phase,” Toth said. “During construction, I respond to contractors’ inquiries to help with recommendations and approvals of design revisions, and provide engineering-related input to inquiries from residents.”

Toth is in the office full-time to continue the vital in-house work on land development projects. The other half of her “team of two,” Building/Planning Technician Ashley Kettenhofen, works effectively from home reviewing plans and maps and communicating with applicants.

During the pandemic, the City’s engineering division is communicating much of their information electronically, limiting face-to-face contact. Hard-copy submittals and plan comment pick-ups are available on a limited basis by appointment only to minimize the number of people in the building.

All City employees are practicing CDC and federal guidelines to prevent the spread of coronavirus. This includes social distancing and telecommuting.

Toth is helping keep City development projects moving on toward construction. She continues to prepare and process standard engineering project documents for City Council hearings.

“I feel very blessed and proud to be a part of the City of Rocklin family, doing my small part during this strange and difficult time to help keep the development process running as smoothly as possible, so our development partners can continue to build quality homes and businesses for our residents,” Toth said.
