Commission Requirements

General eligibility requirements: Rocklin residency and registered voter. 

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, live within City limits, a registered voter, and willing to serve until a successor is appointed. City staff will serve in an advisory role to the commission. 

All Boards, Commissions, and Committees serve in an advisory capacity to the City Council and administrative officials. Compensation, if any, is established by resolution of the City Council. All appointees are required to complete a two-hour ethics training and a two-hour anti-harassment training upon appointment and, then, every other year.

Application Requirements

Hard copies of the Commission Application are available in the City Clerk’s Office located at the Rocklin City Hall, 3970 Rocklin Road, Rocklin, California, or printable online. Applications may be submitted via US Mail, in person, or emailed to CityClerk@rocklin.ca.us

All applications must be received by the City Clerk’s Office by the deadline which is 5 p.m. on Friday, September 26, 2025.

This rule requires the disclosure of a variety of sources of income for public officials.

Offers of appointment may be conditional upon successful completion of fingerprint clearance.
