What: The City of Rocklin invites residents, business owners and the general public to a reception for Rustin Banks, the Rocklin Police Department’s 17th Chief of Police.

When: Monday, Jan. 10, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Where: The Rocklin Event Center at 2650 Sunset Blvd, Rocklin, CA 95677

Who: In December, 2021, Chief Banks joined the City of Rocklin from the Solano County Sheriff’s Office, where he most recently served as a captain commanding the Field Operations Division. He is a longtime resident of Placer County, served in the Marine Corps, began his law enforcement career in 2005, and teaches Criminal Justice at Sierra College.

Chief Banks has always loved this community and hoped to serve it one day as a peace officer. Recently, his wish came true when he accepted an offer to become Rocklin’s police chief.

More Information: The format for the meet and greet will be informal, with Chief Banks making a short introduction before mingling with attendees. Banks looks forward to getting to know the constituents he serves, answering questions and thanking everyone for their support of Rocklin’s first-responders.

Light refreshments will be available.
