Commission Requirements
General eligibility requirements: Rocklin residency and registered voter. Other requirements may apply to specific boards, commissions, and committees.
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age (except for Youth Commissioner position), reside within City limits, be a registered voter, and be willing to serve until a successor is appointed.
All Boards, Commissions, and Committees serve in an advisory capacity to the City Council and administrative officials. City staff will provide advisory support to these appointed meeting bodies. Compensation, if any, is established by City Council resolution. All appointees are required to complete a two-hour ethics training program upon appointment and, then, every other year.

Hard copies of the Board, Commission, and Committee Application are available in the City Clerk’s Office at 3970 Rocklin Road, Rocklin, California, or printable online. All applications must be submitted to the Clerk’s office by 5 p.m. on May 22, 2026, either in person or emailed to CityClerk@rocklin.ca.us

Offers of appointment may be conditional upon successful completion of fingerprint clearance.
