Placer County COVID-19 Update: July 7, 2020

Post

Some of Placer County’s COVID-19 metrics are beginning to cross state-defined thresholds for increased monitoring. This includes hospitalizations as well as the 14-day COVID-19 case rate per 100,000 residents, which today stands at 101.4, for the first time exceeding the State’s case rate threshold. While State data lags behind local data, it is likely these data points will soon be updated on the State’s county data chart.

Placer County’s current trajectory and next steps were discussed in yesterday’s’ Board of Supervisor’s meeting (for captions: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ye8AOCGl-rQ)
