Councilmember Greg Janda

Greg Janda was first elected to the Rocklin City Council in 2012 and previously served as Mayor in 2020 and 2016.

Greg’s career spans 37 years in the technology sector, the last 19 years owning his own engineering design firm where Greg worked for a variety of clients from start-ups to Fortune 100 companies. Greg currently works for a Rocklin based family business.  Greg holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from San Jose State University.

Greg is a 2005 graduate of the Rocklin Area Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Rocklin Program and has served on the Steering Committee for the program since 2005-2012, helping to guide more than a dozen participants each year as they prepare themselves for leadership positions. He has been an active community volunteer, serving at various Chamber events, at his local church and with his children’s school and sports teams.

Appointments Include:

  • Chair, Placer County Air Pollution and Control District
  • Boardmember, Pioneer Community Energy Board
  • Boardmember, Greater Sacramento Economic Council
  • Boarders Committee with the cities of Lincoln and Roseville

Greg and his wife, Kristin, have two adult children that were educated in Rocklin schools and are now pursuing their own careers.
