Multi-Agency Firefighter Training Scheduled for Vacant Property in Rocklin, April 15 & 16 from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

The Rocklin Fire Department will conduct a large-scale, multi-agency live fire training at 4561 Pacific Street (Coker Building), Saturday April 15 and Sunday April 16 from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. This live fire training exercise provides firefighters with a safe environment to refine tactics and procedures, and work interoperability with our regional partners.

Rocklin Fire Department has teamed up with the Sacramento Fire Department Training Division to make this training possible. In addition to the valuable training opportunity, the exercise will provide real world training for firefighters in Placer and Sacramento counties.

Residents should refrain from calling 911 for odor or visual smoke in the area of Pacific Street and Yankee Hill Road between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on both April 15 and 16.

Grove Street at Pacific Street will be closed during the training. Residents may experience minor traffic delays on Pacific Street due to firefighting activity at the site.
