I-80/Hwy 65 Construction Updates (Sept. 27)

Below is the latest construction update provided by Caltrans for Sunday through Saturday, September 15–21, 2019

LONG-TERM PROJECTS

Interstate 80/State Route 65 Phase 1 (Placer County) Work is wrapping up on a $50 million project by Caltrans, the Placer County Transportation Planning Agency, the South Placer Regional Transportation Authority, County of Placer and the cities of Roseville, Rocklin and Lincoln for various interchange improvements, including
construction of a third lane on northbound SR-65 from I-80 to Pleasant Grove
Boulevard.

September 27 – 29

State Route 65 (Placer County) between Interstate 80 and the Galleria Boulevard-Stanford Ranch Road exit: Northbound motorists can expect lane restrictions from 11 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27 to 5 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28 and 11 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28 to 6 a.m. Sunday for striping work.

September 27 – 29

Interstate 80 (Placer County) at the eastbound and westbound connector ramp to northbound State Route 65: Motorists can expect lane restrictions on the westbound and eastbound I-80 connector ramps to northbound SR-65 from 11 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27 to 5 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28 and 11 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28 to 6 a.m. Sunday for striping work.

September 30 – Oct. 9

State Route 65 (Placer County) between Interstate 80 and Pleasant Grove Boulevard: Northbound and southbound motorists can expect crews working on the shoulder during the daytime hours Monday through Wednesday for miscellaneous work.

CONSTRUCTION NOTES

  • The project is scheduled to wrap up next week, weather permiting. Crews will be performing miscellaneous work, including installation of signs along the Antelope Creek Trail, drainage work and general clean up along the shoulders of the freeway and local streets shoulders and under the viaduct.

The Caltrans District Traffic Management Branch has reviewed each project and
determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes, unless noted otherwise above. Lanes are numbered from the center divide (#1) to the shoulder (#2, 3, 4, etc.).
