February 24, 2026 Rocklin City Council Recap
At the February 24 City Council meeting, the Rocklin City Council recognized community leadership, celebrated local achievements, and introduced new ordinances aimed at enhancing public safety and services.
Proclamation Honoring Robin Trimble
The City Council honored Robin Trimble, CEO of the Rocklin Area Chamber of Commerce, on her retirement after more than 20 years of dedicated service. Under Robin’s leadership, the Chamber has supported local businesses, fostered community partnerships, and contributed to Rocklin’s economic growth. The Council expressed gratitude for her decades of civic and business leadership and presented a proclamation in recognition of her accomplishments.
Proclamation Recognizing the Sierra College Women’s Soccer Team
Council also celebrated the Sierra College Women’s Soccer Team for capturing the first 3C2A State Championship in program history. The team’s outstanding season, dedication, and championship performance were recognized as an inspiration to the community and student-athletes throughout the region. The Mayor presented the proclamation on behalf of the Council, congratulating players, coaches, and staff on this historic achievement.
New Ordinances Introduced
The Council introduced two ordinances during the meeting:
- Speed Limit Amendments – The Council introduced an ordinance amending Chapter 10.11 of the Rocklin Municipal Code related to speed limits within the city to enhance traffic safety.
- Fire and Arson Investigation Unit – The Council introduced an ordinance establishing a Fire and Arson Investigation Unit within the Rocklin Fire Department. The unit will be authorized to exercise designated peace officer powers pursuant to California Penal Code Section 830.37.
These discussion items are part of the City’s ongoing efforts to improve safety, enforcement, and community services.
