Arts Commission
Overview
At its June 10, 2025 meeting, the Rocklin City Council adopted a new Arts Visioning Document, replacing the City’s previous Public Arts Master Plan. This updated document outlines a fresh, strategic direction for supporting and advancing arts and culture in Rocklin.
In alignment with this vision, the Arts Commission – established in 2023 – continues to serve in an advisory role to the City Council and helps bring this vision to life.
The Arts Commission is tasked with:
- Implementing and recommending updates to the new Arts Visioning Document;
- Advising the City Council on matters related to arts and culture in the community;
- Encouraging arts programs that enhance Rocklin’s cultural landscape;
- Strengthening partnerships between the City, county, and local arts and cultural organizations.
These responsibilities were previously carried out by the Art Task Force under the Parks and Recreation Commission.
