Art Task Force
Pursuant to the City of Rocklin’s Public Art Master Plan, adopted by the City Council on January 26, 2016, the Art Task Force serves as the Selection Panel for both public and private development projects and makes recommendations to the PR&A Commission. The Art Task Force is responsible for voluntary public art in a development project which falls within the Public Art Master Plan’s criteria. The Art Task Force is also responsible for the placement of public art elements. The Art Task Force utilizes the criteria and processes identified in the Public Art Master Plan in the selection of artwork.
Recommendations to the Parks, Recreation and Arts on public art matters including;
- Artist qualifications
- Expenditure of funds collected for the purpose of public art
- Selection of public art for rental or loan of completed works
- Acceptance of gifts of art
- Conservation of public artwork
- Decommissioning pubic artwork
Advocate for public art and assistance and guidance in securing grants or other funding for public art.
