October 2008 Edition – The Toast of the Town tradition continues Saturday, November 8, 2008 at the Rocklin Sunset Center, 2650 Sunset Blvd. This popular Wine tasting, Dinner and Art show event will take place from 4:00-6:00pm. The auction and raffle will be conducted from 6:00-8:00pm. Event tickets sell out fast so get your tickets early.
Over 20 wineries and 30 local chefs will be present including city council members, school board members, and community leaders. Tickets are $50 per person and are on sale now at the Rocklin Sunset Center. You must be 21 or older to attend.
Proceeds from this fundraiser will be directed to the City of Rocklin Station Xtreme teen program. The City of Rocklin began offering this after school program for teens in 2000. Today, there are more than 500 teens registered in the program. Station Xtreme is a safe, drug-free, violence-free environment for our growing population of teens. Participants receive mentoring, help with homework and take part in numerous social activities. This program was developed to help protect our community while providing safe places for teens to go after school.. Station Xtreme centers operate five days a week during school and summer months at both Rocklin middle schools.
