I-80/Hwy 65 Construction Updates (Sept. 13)

Below is the latest construction update provided by Caltrans for Sunday through Saturday, September 15–21, 2019

LONG-TERM PROJECTS

Interstate 80/State Route 65 Phase 1 (Placer County) Work is wrapping up on a $50
million project by Caltrans, the Placer County Transportation Planning Agency, the
South Placer Regional Transportation Authority, County of Placer and the cities of
Roseville, Rocklin and Lincoln for various interchange improvements, including
construction of a third lane on northbound SR-65 from I-80 to Pleasant Grove
Boulevard.

Septmeber 15 – 21

Antelope Creek Trail (Placer County) The trail between Antelope Creek Drive in Roseville and Springview Drive in Rocklin has reopened to the public.
Pedestrians and bicyclists should be alert for crews doing final work in the area.

September 16 – 17

State Route 65 (Placer County) between Interstate 80 and the Galleria
Boulevard-Stanford Ranch Road exit: Northbound motorists can expect
intermittent lane restrictions from 10 p.m. Monday to 5 a.m. Tuesday for sign
work.

CONSTRUCTION NOTES

  • Crews completed striping work and reopened the new northbound lane on the
    viaduct, or bridge during the morning hours last Saturday, Sept. 7. The new third
    northbound lane now extends from Interstate 80 to Pleasant Grove Boulevard.

  • Crews are scheduled to do sign work on the northbound Highway 65 viaduct late Monday night into Tuesday morning. Motorists can expect miscellaneous work in the area as the contractor wraps up the project.

The Caltrans District Traffic Management Branch has reviewed each project and
determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes, unless noted otherwise above. Lanes are numbered from the center divide (#1) to the shoulder (#2, 3, 4, etc.).
