NEW CONSTRUCTION GENERAL PERMIT

Changes in Storm Water Pollution Prevention Reporting Requirements

Attention Developers, Engineers and Contractors: The new Construction General Permit was adopted September 1, 2009. The clock is ticking to get familiar with the new SWPPP and reporting requirements. Plus, there are some new acronyms to learn.

The new permit goes into effect on July 1, 2010, and there are filing deadlines on or before that date. If you missed the regional workshop held recently in Rocklin, you can view the presentation by clicking on the following link to get some basic information about the changes:

WATER QUALITY

The City of Rocklin tests the water quality in the five creeks and streams within the City limits. We take samples every four months and track the results so we can monitor the levels of harmful constituents (pollution) in the Dry Creek and Pleasant Grove watersheds.
