Rocklin Recreation offers a variety of sports activities for children and teens ages 2-18. These programs are designed to be fun and challenging and promote a sense of fair play, good health, teamwork and social skills. Click on the following links for more detailed information.


Challenger Soccer Camps

The Nation's #1 soccer camp company now offers after-school soccer sessions! Sign up now for individual foot training, technique tweaking and lots of fun through our small sided games curricullum. If you enjoyed the sumer camp, you'll love the after-school sessions even more! This is perfect for beginner to intermediate soccer players. Classes are offered for kids ages 4-10 on Friday afternoons in the fall and spring.

Good Sport U Basketball

Coach Rick Bauer of Good Sport U will provide the positive instruction that will develop your young player's basketball knowledge and love of the game. Each day will include fun and easy to learn instruction which will lead up to exciting game and contests like Dribble Freeze Tag, 2-Ball and Baseline Call-out. Rick is the Director of Good Sport U and the girls basketball coach at Loomis Grammer School, Gold River Discovery Center and Mitchell Middle School. Program fee includes a Good Sport U shirt. Game Time for grades 4-6: Stay sharp and continue to improve your skills in this Good Sport U class designed for the player who wants to advance their basketball ability and be totally GAME READY! The sessions will run similar to Coach Rick Bauer's Middle School practices, with a teaching style that is positive and FUN. Each day will feature a warmup and instruction in footwork, ballhandling, shooting, team offense/ defense and plenty of scrimmage time. Whether you play AAU or in a city league, this program will prepare you for competitive basketball.

Baton Twirling

Beginning Baton Twirling Skills Class - Students will learn basic baton twirling skills and body work. Baton twirling increases body strength, hand-eye coordination, and an overall sense of accomplishment. The beginning skills classes will prepare the students to take the intermediate baton twirling classes with the option of joining a competitive team.

Intermediate Competitive Class - Twirlers that have taken the beginning baton twirling class and are proficient at the basic skills will have the option of joining the the intermediate classes where they can begin to twirl on a competitive team. Intermediate twirlers will be part of the performing competitive team (www.accelerationbaton.com ). They will learn routines to music, body work, baton skills, and teamwork through this class. These twirlers will compete throughout Northern California at various competitions during the year. Instructor Corey Kinyon-Cruz is a certified United States Twirling Association coach. Corey has over 25 years of baton coaching experience. Her accomplishments include State, Regional Strut and Dance Twirl championships and the highest honor of the "silver boot" as the 1980 Grand National Strut Champion.

Advanced Competitive- Advanced twirlers will have the option of being on the Advanced Competitive Baton Team (www.accelerationbaton.com) where they will compete throughout Northern California at various competitions during the year and at the United States Twirling Association National Competition. They will learn routines to music, body work, baton skills and teamwork. Advanced twirlers will also learn competitive solo routines. Start Smart Sports Development

Introduce your child to sports the right way! Start Smart Sports Development is designed for kids 3 years old through 1st grade. The focus is developing a child's love for sports and teaching basic fundamentals in a fun and non-competitive atmosphere. Parent participation is encouraged. All athletes receive a t-shirt. Sessions are 4 weeks, 1 day per week.

Kidz Love Soccer

Kids learn the world's most popular sport from professional coaches trained in the Kidz Love Soccer Method. A session experience includes age appropriate activities, skill demonstrations, fun games, and instructional scrimmages conducted in a noncompetitive, recreational format. Flip 2 It Sports Center

Flip 2 It Sports Center is a premiere fitness facility located in Roseville that develops the strength, flexibility, coordination, self esteem, confidence, and socialization skills within children that are necessary to excel at all sports.  Youth Cheerleading

Rocklin Community Services is offering a youth cheerleading program for girls in grades K-6. Participants will learn cheers and chants to be performed during our NFL Flag Football and Shoot the Rock Basketball games on Saturdays. No stunts will be taught. All participants will receive a shirt and pom-poms. Participants are required to wear black shorts on game days.
