Project Description
This project reconstructed and widened the over-crossing and constructed new ramps. Teichert Construction served as the contractor, with a construction cost of approximately $22,500,000.

The Sacramento Chapter of the American Public Works Association (APWA) has selected the Sierra College Blvd./I-80 Interchange Reconstruction as the 2009 project of the year.
The APWA Sacramento Chapter Awards Program recognizes projects that demonstrate excellence in design, construction, community relations, and project management team performance.
Councilmember Kathy Lund, a long-time proponent of the Sierra College Interchange, said, "We are pleased to receive this award from the APWA. This project provides an important transportation link in the region, and benefits residents of Rocklin, Loomis, Lincoln, and Placer County. It also enhances access to Sierra College. Dave Palmer, from our engineering staff and the entire project team, did a great job delivering this project."
